Gary David Pettus

Gary David Pettus, 66, of Bonne Terre passed away February 16, 2016. He was born February 9, 1950 in Bonne Terre. David proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Primrose Baptist Church and the Parkland Beekeepers Association.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Howard and Naomi Isabel (Eggers) Pettus; two sisters, Joyce Degonia and Sammie Ford; three brothers, Ronnie Pettus, Steven Pettus and Alan Kenneth Pettus in infancy.

David is survived by his wife, Terrie (Smith) Pettus; two children, Jeremy David Pettus and Andrea Michelle Pettus; two grandsons, Jared David Pettus and Jayden Daniel Pettus; two brothers, Walter “Donnie” Pettus and Kerry “Dale” Pettus (Linda Mercer); five sisters, Rosemary Carol Graham, Judy Stegall, Fern Stegall, Phyllis (Richard) Stanfill and Lila Elaine Dixon; mother-in-law, Shirley Smith; sister-in-law, Roberta Lord; brother-in-law, Rodney (Jeannie) Smith. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Adams Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Relay for Life, Walkin’ Warriors Team.
