Gay Blanton

Gay Blanton, 87, of Farmington passed away December 24, 2025 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born October 7, 1938 to the late Jack and Gladys (Mann) Frans.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Jewel “Gene” Blanton, Jr.; one son, Scott Blanton; and one sister, Myrna Taylor.

Gay was a stay-at-home mom who loved working in the yard and tending to her flowers. She was known for her vibrant spirit and Arkansas accent.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Breeding and husband Tom; and one grandson, Scotty Allen.

Gay requested not to have a viewing and was laid to rest at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington, MO on Monday, December 28, 2025. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington.
