Gaylon "GW" Wayne Poole, 75, of Bonne Terre passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 in Okeechobee, Florida. Gaylon was born on Friday, October 11, 1946 in Kennett, Missouri to the late Marvin "ML" and Irma (Glover) Poole. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Joy (Branum) Wrenfrow and Phyllis (McDonald) Poole; daughter, Gayla Poole; stepsons, Kim and Tracy Tolbert, his girlfriend’s daughter, Lisa Arnold; four brothers, four sisters and three nieces.

GW proudly served his country in the United States Army. GW was well known in the community as the founder of Poole Septic system where he proudly serviced the community for many years. After passing the family business to his daughter Lesa and son-in-law Kevin Schutte he then retired, moved to sunny Florida where he spent years with his girlfriend, Sandy Tindall. GW was a proud member of the Samaritan Lodge #424 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, along with a life time member of the VFW as well as a member of the Okeechobee North Moose Lodge. He was a very talented guitar player and collector. He was self-taught as well as could play by ear. When he wasn’t playing music, he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. But, most of all he loved being with his family and friends. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Lesa (husband Kevin) Schutte; step-daughter, Linda Randel; girlfriend, Sandy Tindall; her children, Lori Angelos and Joe Arnold; brothers, Jimmy (wife Carole) Poole, Jerry (wife Jolene) Poole; sister, Deborah (husband Richard) Lormand; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Friday, March 18, 2022 from 5 p.m.  until 8:00 p.m. at the C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home, Bonne Terre. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Entombment to follow at St. Francois Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Arrangements are under the direction of CZ Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
