Gene Barron

          Gene Barron, 82, of Leadington, passed away February 19, 2018, at Mercy Jefferson in Festus. He was born November 8, 1935, in Decatur, IL, to the late Walter Francis Barron and Della May (Burns) Barron-Burns. Gene was also preceded in death by his brothers, Orville, Wyman, Henry, Clarence and Firmin Barron; sisters, Mary Wisdom and Gladys Kopp. 

            He is survived by three children, Debbie Taylor, Gary Barron, and Gail Johnson and husband Shane; four grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Cecil Barron, Faye Mantei, Edna Richardson, and Hilda McCarty.

            A memorial visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Caldwell Chapel in Park Hills, Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 12:30 PM until time of service at 1:30 PM. Reverend Mike Barton will be officiating.
