Gene Richard Blomker

Gene Richard Blomker, age 81, of Bonne Terre, passed away Tuesday, September 7, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis Missouri.  Gene was born on Tuesday, July 23, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri.  Gene worked for the United States Postal service as a Postal Carrier for 38 years. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; Edward Blomker and Eleanor (Rode)Blomker and four siblings; Mrytle Elhlen, Dorothy Douglas, Helen Taylor and Bill Blomker.                             

Gene enjoyed collecting coins as a hobby. Gene was a family man, his daughter and grandchildren were his top priority. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.   

 He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Conner (Clayton Swain) threegrandchildren; Samantha Blomker, Justin Blomker and Ashley Lewis, five great-grandchildren; AAliya, Aurora, Mason, Tru and Jada, brothers; Edward Blomker, Bob Blomker sisters; Marcellal Geist, Shirley Ruedlin, and Elanor Ponzar.

The family will schedule a Celebration of Life for Gene at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of C.Z Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
