Mrs. Geneva Edith Barnes passed away Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at Parkland Health Center South, Farmington, at the age of 88 years & 18 days. She was born Dec. 2, 1914, in Knob Lick, to John & Dora Mae 'Douglas' Hamm. Also preceding in death were: her husband, Leonard C. Barnes (Feb. 4, 1978); 1 Daughter, Mary Charlotte Barnes; 3 Sons: Charles; Chesley & Wesley Barnes. 4 Sisters: Elizabeth Morris; Pearl McGinnis; Dora Mae Holder & Lena Hamm. 4 Brothers: Everett; Orville; Jack & Authur Hamm. Geneva was a member of the Knob Lick Church of God. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: 3 DAUGHTERS - Doris 'Mrs. Richard' Wendt, of Davenport, IA; Ruth 'Mrs. James' Hibbits, of Farmington; Mildred 'Mrs. Arthur' Porter, of Fredericktown, MO; 1 BROTHER: John (& Wilma) Hamm, II - of Lebanon, MO. 17 GRANDCHILDREN; 38 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN; 17 GREAT, GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN. Also, numerous Nieces & Nephews. Visitation Saturday, 6-9 p.m., resuming Sunday at 7:00 a.m., & funeral Sunday, 2:00 p.m., December 22, 2002, at TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, Farmington, with Rev. Donn Adamson officiating. Interment at Knob Lick Cemetery. Memorials to: The Knob Lick Church of God.
