George T. Breeding

George T. Breeding, of Farmington passed away Friday January 14, 2022 at Crystal Oaks Nursing Home in Festus, MO at the age of 91. He was born on September 20, 1930 to Walter and Ruby (Morgan) Breeding who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his 6 siblings, Albert Breeding, James Breeding, Paul Stanley, Margaret Russell, Florence Williamson, Bessie Daughhetee and one infant daughter, Donna Jean Breeding.

George had been a long-haul truck driver for most of his life as well as owning several businesses over the years in the Farmington area. He retired from trucking in the mid 1980’s and enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards and shooting pool.  George loved watching baseball and football and never missed a Cardinals or Chiefs game. 

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Katie (Butrum) Breeding. Two children, Teresa (John) Bollinger of Aurora, MO and Tom (Tammy) Breeding of Farmington. Five grandchildren Gwendolyn (Adam) Mitchell, Amanda Holbrook, Megan Summers, Kayla (Derek) Lester, Rebecca Bollinger, 8 great grandchildren, many nieces & nephews and one close cousin Shirley Juede.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son - Taylor Chapel in Farmington on Tuesday January 18, 2022 at 10:30 am until service time of 12:00 pm.  Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington, MO.
