George Weir

George Henry Weir, 57, of Mineral Point, Missouri passed away April 22, 2016 at his residence. He was born November 4, 1958 in Bonne Terre, Missouri to the late James and Freda (Stegall) Weir. George was the owner of Weir Logging. He loved his job, enjoyed horseback riding, wagon riding, camping, storytelling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brother Walter Weir and sister Alberta Huff.

George is survived by his wife Dela (Coffman) Weir; sons, Josh (Jody) Weir, Donald (Kara) Kline, and John Kline all of Mineral Point; daughters Mandy Weir of Mineral Point, and Nickie (Bradley) Light of Bonne Terre; grandchildren Tara Weir, Levi Weir, Taya Otiz, Keki Ortiz, Aden Martinez, Aubrey Light, Brinley Light, and Emmry Kline; brothers Howard Weir of Irondale, James Weir, and John (Vicki) Weir both of Mineral Point; brother in law Donald Huff of Irondale; sisters Bonnie (Gordon) Morris of Arizona, Barb Boyster of Mineral Point, Rose (Les) Embry of Bonne Terre, Carol (Harry) Johnson, Alice Weir and Lana Brewer, and Nina (Clarence) Tate all of Mineral Point; father and mother in law James and Nadine Coffman; special friends to the family,  Anita Martinez and her family, Joseph Martinez and Amber Stinson, Chastain and Avery Stinson;  many special friends, nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts. George was loved by all and enjoyed lending a helping hand or ear whenever possible. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be Monday, April 25, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the C. Z.
