Mrs. Georgia Ann 'Vallo' Mackley passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at her residence at the age of 74 years, 10 months & 2 days. Georgia was born September 5, 1940, in Bonne Terre, and was the daughter of George J. Vallo and Mary Frances 'Freeman' Vallo Pitts. Also preceding in death were: a son, James David Mackley (1988); a sister, Frances Bingham, and a grandson, Jeremy Willard Mackley (1996).
Georgia was a wonderful cook and baker. She loved to cook for family and friends using Hungarian recipes handed down from her grandmother. She was an excellent gardener and canner. Georgia had a garden every year for 56 years on the family farm - no matter what the weather. Georgia was a devoted farm wife & mother. She worked hard on the farm along with her husband and children. She also worked outside the farm as a bookkeeper and clerk for many years. She was involved in the local farming community for 45 years & still worked at Tractor Supply Co., for 1 day a week until the time of her death.
Survivors Include : her husband of 57 years (married June 7, 1958), Willard "Bill" Mackley, of Bonne Terre. 1 daughter, Kimberly A. Mackley, of Bonne Terre. 1 son, W. Allen Mackley, of St. Louis. A sister, Gladys Ramsey, of Farmington. A brother, Johnny E. Vallo, of Farmington. Also surviving are special cousins: Bob & Donna Thurman, of Farmington; Shannon & Melissa Norris, and their children - Avery & Kinley Norris. Also, special friends - Ronnie & Donna Pettus, all of of Bonne Terre.
Visitation : Friday, 5-8 p.m. Visitation Resumes - Saturday @ 6:30 a.m.
Funeral : Saturday, 11:00 a.m., July 11, 2015
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service, CHAPEL, with Rev. David Wright & Rev. Lindell Richardson officiating.
Interment follows at Three Rivers Cemetery, Ste. Genevieve County
