Gerald Dean Thompson Sr.

Gerald "Jerry" Dean Thompson Sr., age 61, of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown. He was born on November 30, 1963, in St. Louis, Missouri to Gerald Dean and Alice Darlene (Cox) Francis.

He is survived by his three children – Gerald "Jerry" Thompson Jr. of Fredericktown, Missouri, Adam (Mendy) Armes of DeSoto, Missouri and Mindi (Ben)Wood of Jackson, Missouri; brother – Jay Francis of Fredericktown, sister – Lola Thompson also of Fredericktown and fifteen grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers – Robert Thompson and Thomas Nelson and two sisters – Bonnie Thompson and Kathy O'Brien.

Gerald worked as a concrete finisher for over 25 years; he loved working with wood and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working on the farm with his brother, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., also on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown with Pastor Danny Bowman officiating.

Interment will be at St. Michaels Cemetery in Fredericktown.
