"Gerri"

Geraldine "Gerri" Rolens, age 83, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at her home in Fredericktown, Missouri. She was born on August 1, 1941, in St. Clair, Missouri to James Edward and Anna Bell (Benton) Nevills.

On September 5, 1949, in St. Clair, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Patrick Rolens, he survives at the home.

Other survivors include her children – Richard (Denise) Rolens of the state of California, Judy (Bruce) Wipfler of Missouri, Bob (Kris) Rolens of the state of Kentucky, Cynthia Rolens of Missouri and Mark (Katherine) Rolens of Missouri; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; brothers – Raymond Nevills of Virginia and Wayne Nevills of California.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Morris Nevills and two sisters – Dorothy Benton and Calli Rolens.

Gerri had been a licensed vocational nurse in her earlier years when she lived in California; in her later years she chose to stay home and care for her family; she enjoyed making crafts and going to craft shows and crocheting rugs, but her specialty was baking candy, especially fudge; she was a member of the Assembly of God Church in St. Clair.

A memorial service may be planned for a later date.
