Gilbert Peter Ries

Gilbert Peter Ries of Lesterville, Missouri passed away peacefully on December 29, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born May 23, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Nicholas and Gertrude (Christmann) Ries. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Ries and his daughter, Kathy Ries and his brother, Robert Ries. Gil is survived by three daughters: Linda Logan (Eugene), Laurie Mayes (Ronnie), and Susan Dibb, all of Lesterville, Missouri. Six grandchildren survive: Nick (Jamie), Joe (Amy), Mike (Melissa), Megan (Travis), Justin and Steven and six great grandchildren: Lily, Blakely, Roczen, Addison, Norah, and Conlee as well as a host of other relatives and friends in the Lesterville community and the Black River Lodge community. He treasured all of his family who were the most important people in his life. Gil served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
