Gladys America Mccallum

Mrs. Gladys America 'Rice' McCallum passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at Community Manor, in Farmington, at the age of 99 years, 9 months & 27 days. Gladys was born Feb. 16, 1917, in Roselle, Missouri, and was the daughter of Marvin Hudson Rice and Ester Cornelia 'Tesreau' Rice. Also preceding-in-death was her husband, Lloyd Clayburn McCallum (Dec. 10, 2007); 3 sisters - Hazel Brown; Pearl Inman & Ruby Belleville. Also, 5 brothers - Earl; James; Harold; Jack & Tom Rice.

Gladys was a longtime, faithful member of Pendleton United Baptist Church of Doe Run.

Survivors Include : a daughter, Linda (& Charles) Sanscrainte, of Southgate, Michigan; 2 grandchildren - Shannon (& Adam) Harrison, of Dearborn, Michigan; Lindsey Sanscrainte (& fiance' Adam Seabloom), of Southgate, Michigan. 3 Sisters-In-Law: Lorraine Rice, of Roselle, MO, Alma Rice, of Ironton, MO. & Elna (Ruth) Rice, of Riverview, Michigan. 2 great-grandchildren: Lauren & Aiden Harrison, of Dearborn, Michigan. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews.

Visitation : Monday, 5-8 p.m. Visitation resumes Tuesday @ 6:30 a.m.

Funeral : Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., October 18, 2016

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Doug Tucker officiating.

Interment follows at : Marcus Memorial Cemetery - Fredericktown, Missouri
