Mrs. Glenda Estella 'Hovis' Goforth passed away late Monday night, March 1, 2004, at the Southbrook Skilled Care Nursing Center, in Farmington, at the age of 88 years, 7 months & 22 days. Glenda was born on July 9, 1915, in Brunot, Missouri, to Henry L. Hovis & Virgie 'Brooks' Hovis. She was also preceded-in-death by: her husband, Ernest Franklin Goforth (Dec. 26, 1993), 1 Brother, Orval Hovis & 1 Sister, Edna Berryman. Glenda was: * a member of Farmington First Christian Church; * member, Missouri Retired Teacher's Association; * a retired Teacher from the Farmington School District & * member, AARP. Glenda operated her own printing business in St. Louis for a short time and served as a Past-President of the Doe Run Planned Progress Community Program in the 1960's. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: 1 SON - Dean F. (& Cathy) Goforth, of Doe Run; 2 SISTERS: Lorraine Kipp, of Garwood, MO; Leona DeClue, of Tulsa, OK; 1 STEP-SISTER: Lockie Estes, of Florissant, MO; 2 GRANDCHILDREN: Daniel Goforth, of St. Louis & Kendall Goforth, of Doe Run. Also surviving are: numerous Nieces; Nephews & Friends. Visitation Wednesday, 5-8 p.m., resuming Thursday at 7:00 a.m., & funeral Thursday, 11:00 a.m., March 4, 2004, at TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, Farmington, with Rev. Dale Berck officiating. Interment following at Sunlight Cemetery in Belgrade, Missouri Memorials desired to: Farmington First Christian Church
