Glenora H. Gibbons formerly of Desloge, Missouri passed away January 10, 2025 at Presbyterian Manor at the age of 100 years. She was born September 4, 1924 in Edge Hill, Missouri, the daughter of the late James Corbett and Lillie Elsada (Lewis) Reeves. On March 19, 1955, she was united in marriage to Harold Leroy Gibbons who preceded her in death on September 11, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her son: Glenn Robitsch; her stepdaughter: Shelia Campbell; her brothers: Oran Reeves and James Reeves; and her sisters: Fern Lacy, Helen Reeves, Lavelle Fish, and Mary Parker. Nora is survived by her special nephew, Hal Lacy and his wife, Barbara of Bonne Terre, Missouri; her stepson: William Mark Gibbons of Bonne Terre, Missouri, her brothers: Leon Reeves of Louisiana, Missouri and Johnny Wilson of Tucson, Arizona; former daughter-in-law: Marilyn Gibbons; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Nora was long time active member of the Gospel Trinity Pentecostal Church of God in Ironton. She most recently attended The Shepherd’s House in Desloge before her health declined and she became a resident at Presbyterian Manor. Nora’s relationship with her Lord was very important to her and she spent many hours reading her well worn Bible. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling with Harold and they loved to go fishing. Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Bryson Funeral Home Chapel. She will be laid to rest with Harold on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 9:45 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
