Mr. Glenwood Francis Mell passed away Monday, April 22, 2002, at The Gateway Regional Hospital in Granite City, IL, at the age of 88 years, 11 months & 17 days. Glen was was born May 5, 1913, in Farmington, to John Peter Mell & Christine Louise 'Meyer' Mell. Also preceding in death was 1 Sister, Lucille Maxson. Glen was united in marriage on Feb. 25, 1938, to Zetta Lucille 'Eaton' Mell, at Warrenton, MO. Glen was a member of Nameoki United Methodist Church of Granite City, IL. He was retired from the Granite City Steel Co. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: His WIFE: Zetta Lucille 'Eaton' Mell, of Madison, IL; 2 DAUGHTERS: Valencia Corrina 'Mrs. Steve' Novosel, of Glen Carbon, IL; Glendine Francis 'Mrs. Michael' Lindvay, of Garrett, IN; 1 NIECE: Diane Mecey, of Park Hills, MO; 1 NEPHEW: Jerry Maxson, of Bismarck, MO; 1 GRANDDAUGHTER: Angela 'Mrs. Michael' West, of Glen Carbon, IL; 3 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Steffen; Garrison & Ashlin. Visitation Wednesday, 4-8 p.m., resuming Thursday at 7:00 a.m., & Funeral Service Thursday, 1:00 p.m., April 25, 2002, at TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Vernon Brown & Dr. David Webster officiating. Interment following at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington. Memorials to: Nameoki United Methodist Church - 1900 Pontoon Rd - Granite City, IL 62040 &/or The Tri-Cities Area Faith-In-Action - 2100 Madison Ave / Room #210 - Granite City, IL 62040
