Glenwood Gillam

Mr. Harold Glenwood Gillam passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at his Farmington Presbyterian Manor residence, at the age of 88 years & 3 months. Glenwood was born on March 13, 1918, in Leadwood, MO, & was the son of Willard B. & Nancy Leona 'Yount' Gillam. Also preceding were: 2 Brothers: W. Leon Gillam & Paul Laverne Gillam; and, in-infancy, twin siblings, Daniel & Ellen Gillam.

Glenwood was: * a US ARMY Veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre; * a very active member of Farmington First Baptist Church; * a member & Past-Master of Farmington Masonic Lodge #132 AF/AM; * a member of St. Louis Moolah Temple; a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite * a member of Farmington VFW Post #5896 & American Legion Post #416. Glenwood & Virginia were married April 19, 1947, at Fredericktown, 1st Baptist Church.

Survivors Include: His wife, Virginia Melinda 'Sheppard' Gillam, of Farmington; & 2 Sisters-In-Law: Lillian Sheppard, of The Baptist Home at Ironton, MO, & Onetha Gillam, of Marshfield, MO. Also, several Nieces; Nephews; Cousins & many Friends.

Visitation: Thursday, 5-8 pm, at TAYLOR Funeral Service, Inc., with a Masonic Service to be held Thursday, 7:00 p.m.

Visitation resumes Friday, 7-10 am.

Funeral: Friday, 11:00 a.m., June 16, 2006, at Farmington First Baptist Church, with Dr. William C. Miller officiating. Interment follows in Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington.
