It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Grace Virginia Haverstick, who left this world peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the age of 86. Grace was born on Monday, November 13, 1939, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, to the late Marvin Lester and Laura Rebecca (House) Pettus.

 Grace dedicated many years of her life as a diligent housekeeper at St. Anthony's Hospital, where her kindness and warm spirit touched the hearts of those she worked with and cared for. Known for her love of animals and her joyful spirit, Grace found simple pleasures in life, often spending her weekends exploring yard sales, where she delighted in the thrill of finding special treasures.

 Grace is survived by her grandchildren, Aaron (Joanna) Haverstick, Michelle (Aaron) Dyer, Zak Brandon, Chelsea (Larry) Haverstick and Josh (Aimee) Haverstick; 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren along with loving nieces, nephews and friends. Each of them holds cherished memories that will last a lifetime. 

Grace Virginia Haverstick's light will forever shine in our hearts, reminding us to cherish the simple joys and love one another fiercely, just as she did. May she rest in peace, embraced by the warmth of the love she shared with all of us. Grace was preceded in death by her children, Donna Balsman, Tammy “TT” Haverstick, Blaine Haverstick; ex-husband Cletus Haverstick; and brother, Ivan House.

In lieu of flowers, family would like donations to be made in Grace’s memory to Humane Society of Missouri.
