GRANVILLE W. THOMPSONGranville W. Thompson, age 73, of Valles Mines, Missouri passed away December 15, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, MO. He was born March 18, 1937 in Saddle, Arkansas.Granville was deeply loved by all of his family.He was preceded by his wife, Janet (Atchley) Thompson; his parents Nick and Thelma Thompson; brothers, Shelby Thompson and Johnny Thompson.Granville is survived by his son, Kenneth Thompson and wife Marie of DeSoto, five daughters, Debra (Mrs. Russell Britton) of Ste. Genevieve, Jackie (Mrs. Bobby Clayton) of House Springs, Karen (Mrs. Dennis Poole) of DeSoto, Tina (Mrs. Mark Skiles) of Bonne Terre, Renae (Mrs. Richard Carver) of Valles Mines; fourteen grandchildren, Kevin, Sarah; Dawn, Sherry, Erica; Tosha; Keith, Johnny, Mandi, Melanie; Eric, Angie; Katrina, Cierra, and nineteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Arlis Thompson of Imperial, Noah (Elmer) Thompson of Hillsboro, Bobby Thompson of St. Louis; sister, Kathleen Rummerfield of St. Louis.Visitation is at 5:00 PM Friday (December 17, 2010) at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Service will be 1:00 PM Saturday (December, 18, 2010) at C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Desloge with Pastor Kirk Womacks officiating. Interment in New Diggins Cemetery in Mineral Point.
