Gwendolyn Esther Hawn

Mrs. Gwendolyn Hawn passed away Sunday afternoon, September 13, 2015, at the Circle of Life Hospice Home in Springdale, Arkansas, at the age of 92 years and 1 month. Gwen was born on August 13, 1923, in St. Francois County, & was the daughter of Rodger Black and Nellie 'Nugent' Black. Also preceding-in-death was a brother, Bill Black, and twin-sisters, Pauline & Claudine Black.

Gwen was a longtime, faithful member of Farmington First Baptist Church. Gwen worked as a LPN at Madison Memorial Hospital in Fredericktown for 3 years, then retired as a LPN/Pharmacy Assistant after 17 years at Farmington State Hospital #4.

Survivors Include : 2 sons - Ron Detring, of Fayetteville, Arkansas & Larry Detring, of Ste. Genevieve. 1 sister - Mary Hutson, of Farmington. 4 grandchildren - Steven (& Angela) Detring; Roni Michelle (& Tyler) Hughes; Jacob & Jeffrey Detring. Also, 4 great-grandchildren - Hunter & Tanner Hughes; Stephanie & Taylor Detring.

Visitation Starts : Wednesday @ 11:00 a.m.

Funeral : Wednesday, 1:00 p.m., September 16, 2015

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Dr. William C. Miller officiating

Interment follows at : Parkview Cemetery, Farmington
