Harry James Davis

Mr. Harry James Davis passed away early Christmas-Eve morning, Monday, December 24, 2001, at Delmar Gardens of Meramec Valley in St. Louis County, at the age of 85 years, 11 months & 23 days. Harry was born January 1, 1916, in Licking, Missouri, to John Henry Davis & Mary Estella 'Anthony' Davis. He was also preceded-in-death by his wife, Mary M. 'Ruby' Davis (on Nov. 7, 2000) & 1 Sister, Juanita Moats. Harry was a retired Over-The-Road truck driver & a US Army Veteran of World War II. Harry was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Farmington. SURVIVORS INCLUDE : 1 SON : James (& Judi) Davis of Fenton, MO; 1 DAUGHTER: Diane Fincher - of Affton, MO; 4 GRANDCHILDREN: Crystal Fincher, of Affton, MO.; Rachel; Michael & Katie Davis, of Fenton, MO; & 1 SISTER: Estella Birkhead of Winfield, MO. Visitation Wednesday, Dec. 26th, 4-8 pm with Rosary recited at 7 pm. Visitation resumes Thursday morning at 7 am & funeral mass, Thursday, Dec. 27th at 10 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farmington, with Fr. John McEntee officiating. Interment following in New Calvary Parish Cemetery. Memorials to: * American Parkinson's Disease Foundation; * St. Jude's Children's Hospital &/or * The Macular Degeneration Research Foundation.
