It is with heavy hearts and warm memories that we announce the passing of Harry Lee House Jr. Dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many. on Friday, July 31, 2026. Harry was born on Tuesday, April 6, 1943, in the quaint town of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Harry lived a life marked by dedication, service, and kindness. He spent his years as a devoted foreman and exceptional Chief Master Sergeant and Avionics Technician in the Department of Defense and the Missouri Air National Guard, where his expertise was not just a job, but a testament to his commitment to the safety and advancement of our nation.
Harry's journey was one of growth and tenacity. A proud graduate of high school, he embraced life's challenges with an open heart, always eager to learn and share his knowledge with those around him. Harry and Janice cultivated a warm home in Florissant, Missouri, where laughter and love blossomed, and memories were etched into the hearts of his family.
Janice worked for Dr. Abraham M. Phillips for over twenty years. She was a devoted wife and mother. She leaves behind her children, Elliott and DeClue. Harry and Janice leave behind two beloved sons, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren who carry forward his legacy of compassion, strength, and resilience. Their spirits will remain woven into the fabric of their lives, a guiding light in moments of uncertainty.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ethel House; his devoted wife, Janice A. House (nee DeClue), with whom he shared 63 wonderful years of marriage before she passed away on May 21, 2023.
In reverence of their lives, a memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, 1:00 PM at St. Francois Memorial Park 6776 Vo-Tec Rd, Bonne Terre, MO. 63628 to honor their memory.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Harry and Janice, share cherished stories, and find solace in each other's company and to pay tribute to an extraordinary man and woman who lived not just for themselves but for all those they loved.
As we say goodbye to Harry Lee House Jr. and Janice A. House, we invite you to join us honoring their lives of service, love, and unwavering commitment to family and country.
Let us remember them not in sadness, but in gratitude for the time we shared and the lessons they imparted—lessons of kindness, humility, and the extraordinary strength found in ordinary moments of life. Rest in peace, Harry and Janice. You are both dearly missed
