Hazel Lorine Hayman age 82 passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at her home near Fredericktown, Missouri. She was born on October 18, 1936 in Tallapoosa, Missouri, a daughter of John Eldridge and Lena Caroline (Fowler) Walls.
On July 25, 1950 in Pocahontas, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Buren Clayton "Dick" Hayman. Her husband of over forty-four years, Rev. Hayman precedes her in death on November 17, 1994; also preceding her are parents, a son Dick L. Hayman, three brothers-in-law, and niece Carol Eads.
She is survived by Patricia Ann (Charles) Gipson and Angela Sue Hendrix, one son Ronald Gene (Vera) Hayman and daughter-in-law Sheila Hayman all of Fredericktown; one brother Melvin A. Walls of Cobden, Illinois and sisters Juanita Mae (Walls) Eads also of Cobden, Illinois and Goldie Belle (Walls) Eads from Carbondale, Illinois; grandchildren- Michael Gipson of Oklahoma; Travis (Mindi) Gipson of Fredericktown; Jason (Tina) Gipson of Columbia, Missouri; Andrew (Laura) Gipson of Glen Carbon, Illinois; Holly Hayman (Aaron) Smith of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Dustin Hayman of Ozark, Missouri; Jessica (Dan) Stevens and Danielle (Tony) Tomlinson both of Fredericktown; Kevin (Desiree) Hayman of Chester, Illinois; and Derek (Leah) Hayman of Jackson, Missouri; Clay Matthew Hendrix, Tyler (Abbie) Hendrix, and Amy (Josh) Allgier all of Fredericktown, as well as twenty-six great-grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and close friends whom she loved dearly.
Hazel was a private home care giver and loved to garden, listen to gospel music, talk on the phone, and collect rocks from her creek. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She had helped her husband pastor the United Pentecostal Church in Fredericktown for over twenty years and later attended the United Pentecostal Church in Farmington, Missouri.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Nathaniel Molter officiating.
Interment will be at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery near Fredericktown in Madison County.
Memorial contributions are suggested for St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
