Mrs. Hazel Ruth 'Thompson' Jones passed away at her Doe Run residence on Sunday evening, May 31, 2015, at the age of 86 years, 7 months & 9 days. Hazel was born on October 22, 1928, in Ironton, MO., & was the daughter of Harry Thompson & Florence 'Bond' Thompson. Also preceding-in-death were: her husband, Homer Edward Jones; a daughter, Linda Kay Rohde (2014); a sister, Syble Thompson; 2 brothers - Edward Thompson & Andy Thompson; 2 son-in-laws, Gary Powell and Robert Rohde, also, 2 grandchildren, Jordon Followell and Diamond Clevenger..

Hazel was a member of the Delassus First Baptist Church, where she worked on the Kitchen Committee for many years and was a Sunday School Teacher. She was also a Girl Scout Leader and retired from the Flat River Glass Company, working as an inspector..

Survivors Include : 2 daughters - Edna (& Jim) Hedrick, of Ironton; and Norma Powell, of Doe Run. 2 sons - Charles (& Cheryl) Jones, of Ironton; James Edward (& Gwendolyn) Jones, of Fredericktown. 2 sisters - Eileen Pollock, of St. Louis & Mazie Fogerty, of Wentzville, MO. 2 brothers - Hughie (& Nadine) Thompson, of Belleview, MO., & Joe (& Rita) Thompson, of Arnold, MO. Also surviving are 14 Grandchildren; 22 Great-Grandchildren and 8, Great, Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation : Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. Visitation resumes Wednesday @ 6:30 a.m.

Funeral : Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., June 3, 2015

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Charles Shrum officiating

Interment follows at : Pendleton Cemetery - Doe Run
