Helen Marie Griffey

Helen Marie Griffey of Ironton, Missouri, passed away in her home on April 3, 2023 at the age of 85 years. She was born March 8, 1938 in Fremont Ohio to the late Omar and Lula Mae (Ivester) Wren. She married Orville Griffey Sr. in 1990 and he preceded her in death in 1999. Helen is survived by seven children: Melody (Gene) Gardner of Lesterville, Missouri, Vivian Meyer of Elkhart, Texas, Nancy Lewis of Ironton, Missouri, Kathy (Bart) Thompson of Bellingham, Washington, Audra McKee of Ironton, Missouri, Albert (Leslie) James of Des Arc, Missouri, and Alicia (Leon) Huff of Ironton, Missouri. She was preceded in death by two children; Rita Lynn James and Clara James and one brother; Stanley E. Wren. Also surviving are two sisters: Rosalie(John) Knehans of Jackson, Missouri and Janice (Wayne) Barton of Ironton, and one brother, Thurman (Mary) Wren of Ironton, Missouri, twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other...
