Helen Katherine Wachter

Mrs. Helen Katherine "Kitty" Wachter passed away Tuesday morning, April 3, 2012, at her Golden Living Center residence in Jefferson City, Missouri, at the age of 86 years, 11 months & 16 days. Katherine was born on April 17, 1925, in Elvins, Missouri, and was the daughter of John Weiss and Ella 'Ashby' Weiss. Also preceding-in-death were: 2 Sisters - Peggy Wade & Mary Lea Key. 1 Brother - John H. Weiss & 1 Granddaughter, Kathy Nye.

Katherine was a member of the Doe Run Emmanuel Baptist Church and had been attending Cornerstone Baptist Church in Jefferson City.

Survivors Include : Husband, Floyd "Bud" Wachter, of Jefferson City. 2 Daughters - Peggy (& Don) Nye, of Doe Run; Sharon Salzwedel, of Jefferson City. 2 Sisters: Sally Barnhouse, of Doe Run; and Jane Bess, of Park Hills. 3 Grandchildren: Buffy (& Jeff) Bax; Shawn Nye & Stacy (& Brian) Kadow. 6 Great-Grandchildren: Abigail, Ireland & Eric Bax; Paige (& Dustin) Czeschin; Austin & Chloe Kadow. 1 Great, Great-Grandson, Remmington Czeschin (due in August 2012).

Visitation Starts : Friday, 9:30 a.m. @ Emmanuel Baptist Church - Doe Run

Funeral : Friday, 12 Noon, April 6th

at : Emmanuel Baptist Church, Doe Run, with Brother Brian Jackson officiating.

Interment : Doe Run Memorial Cemetery
