Helen Marie Schrum

Helen (Sieberg) Schrum, age 94, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Sunday, August 19, 1928, in Cape Girardeau to the late Walter Henry and Julia Beatrice (VanAusdoll) Sieberg.  

Helen was a member of Grace Ministries in Chester, IL. She retired from Centerville Township Hospital where she worked as a laboratory technician. Helen enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and working crossword puzzles   

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph Schrum, Sr.; son, John M. Schrum; son-in-law, Dennis Toenjes; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Schrum; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, George Sieberg, Walter Thomas Sieberg, Beulah Julia Brecheen and Rosalee Wedul. 

She is survived by her loving children, William R. Schrum, Malinda Marie Fudge and husband James, Cheryl K. Toenjes, Julia A. Schrum and Joseph L. Schrum and wife Yvonne; 22 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Beverly Schrum; along with other family and friends.

 Memorial visitation will be held at C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 11:00 AM until service time of 12:00 Noon with Rev Ron Coleman officiating.  Inurnment to follow at Brown Cemetery in Black, Missouri. Memorials can be made to Disabled American Veterans.
