Helen Ruth Skaggs

Helen Ruth Skaggs, age 78 passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021, at her home in Fredericktown, Missouri. She was born on September 2,1943 in Farmington, Missouri to Joseph and Annabelle (Fink) Honerkamp. On June 10, 1966, in Farmington she was united in marriage to Kenneth Ray Skaggs, he survives at the home. Other survivors include: one son & daughter-in-law – Kevin & Carrie Skaggs of Fredericktown; one daughter & son-in-law – Kimberly & Dustin Dettmer of Arcadia, Missouri; one sister – Mary Ann (Frank) Hale of Farmington; four brothers – Kenneth Honerkamp of Springfield, Ronald (Karen) Honerkamp of Farmington, Gary (Ione) Honerkamp of Farmington and Joe (Ann) Honerkamp of Fredericktown; one sister-in-law – Genie Honerkamp of Singapore; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Besides her parents Helen is preceded in death by sisters – Norma Jean Braun, Verna Mae Hartshorn; brothers – Carl Honerkamp, Marion Honerkamp and Robert Honerkamp. Helen had been a teacher's aide for the Fredericktown School District; she was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Farmington; her greatest joy was cooking and taking care of her family. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m., - 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., also on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Wilson Funeral home with Dustin Dettmer officiating. Interment will be at the Marcus Memorial Cemetery in Fredericktown. Condolences may be posted on this website.
