Helen Townes

Helen Townes, 87 of Bonne Terre passed away October 31, 2012 at St. Joe Manor. She was born April 10, 1925 in Hayti, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, John D. Bass and Lillie (Prince) Phoebus; husband, Sid W. Townes; daughter, Mary Ann Townes. Helen is survived by four children, Cecil (Linda) Slavings, Debra (Carl) Barton, Gerald (Deborah) Slavings, Timothy (Dawn) Slavings; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Holtsford and Dorothy Nail; three brothers, George Bass, Loyd Bass and Johnny (Dorothy) Bass. Visitation will be Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer &Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Saturday at 3:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre. Interment will follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery.
