Helen Marie Webb, age 79, of Farmington, peacefully passed away, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 19, 1947, in Esther, she was the cherished daughter of the late Carnell and Helen P. (Slinkard) Simmons.
Helen's unwavering faith was a cornerstone of her life. A devoted member of the Nazarene Church in Park Hills, she dedicated over 67 years of her musical talent to the church as an organist and pianist, enriching the spiritual lives of countless congregants. Her commitment went beyond music; she actively engaged in Sunday School and served on the church board, exemplifying her dedication to community and service.
Professionally, Helen embraced a fulfilling career as a secretary for the Central School District, where she worked for 31 years before her retirement. Her role was marked by kindness and a commitment to supporting educators, students, and families in the community.
Helen's passions extended beyond her professional and spiritual life. She cherished the joy of travel, relished boat rides on Bull Shoals, and found her greatest joy in spending time with her beloved husband, precious daughter, and loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family gatherings were a source of lasting memories and deep connections for her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Benjamin John Webb; siblings, Joann Wood and Gene Simmons.
Helen is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leroy “Pete” Webb; daughter Andrea “Andi” McWilliams and husband Paul “PeeWee;” grandchildren, Allison Metje (Kris), Abby Pease (Robert), Andrew Harper (Brittany); great-grandchildren, Breckin and Marlo Pease, Willow and Benjamin Metji; one brother, Jim Simmons (Joyce); sisters in-law, Ella Mae Beeler (Ted) and Mary Simmons; nieces and nephews, April Shaw, Krita Joslin, Amanda and Nathan Wood, Kelly and Tracy Simmons; other family members and friends also survive.
