Ida (Dawson) Taylor

Ida (Dawson) Taylor, 81, of Farmington passed away October 30, 2023, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis. She was born June 23, 1942, in Farmington to the late Richard Lee and Alma Jeanette (Frazier) Dawson. She was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church in Farmington. She worked in the medical field until 2004. Ida was a very active member of the Farmington Methodist Women’s Group. Her true love was her grandchildren, they were the apple of her eye. Ida always had a smile on her face. She was a friend to many in the Farmington community.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Charles, Donald and Jim Dawson; and sister Becky Goodman.

Ida is survived her daughter, Marcie Lynn (Tim) Fletcher; grandchildren, Katrina Fletcher, Timothy Jack Fletcher, Jr., Gracie Fletcher, Corson Fletcher; brother, Guy Dawson; nephews, Rick (Jana) Dawson, Tommy (Amy) Dawson; nieces, Chrissy Dawson, Missy Dawson; great-nephews and great-nieces, Kennedy Lewis, Sophie Lewis, Bentley Dawson, Lily Dawson, Payton Johnson, and Chloe Dawson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at the Memorial United Methodist Church in Farmington. Reverend Ron Beaton will be officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
