Ida Mae Sampson

Ida Mae (Gray) Sampson, of Bonne Terre passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the age of 98 at St. Joe Manor. She was born on Tuesday, September 9, 1924 in Mobile, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar L. and Minnie Leah (Mason) Gray; son-in-law, Robert L. Shands, Sr.; grandson, Robert Shands, Jr.; two great-grandsons, Anwar and Rashad Shands, along with eight siblings.

Ida enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, planting flowers, cooking and singing. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Janice Shands. Ida Mae will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.

Service pending for a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
