Inez Elizabeth Bloom

                 Inez Elizabeth Bloom, of Bonne Terre, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at St. Joe Manor at the young age of 100.  She was born on Sunday, October 9, 1921, in Desloge to the late Alonzo Sumpter and Elsie Atchison-Wright.   She was a member of First Church of God where she was active in Ladies Aid and taught Sunday school through out the years.  She was a homemaker and lived on a 20 acre farm where she loved taking care of her family. Inez enjoyed canning from her garden and working crossword puzzles.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer Bloom; son, Robert Bloom and daughter Gladys Carver.

          Inez is survived by her loving children, Betty Light, James “Jim” (Brenda) Bloom and Lindell “Pete” Bloom (Eva Campbell); daughter-in-law, Georgiana Bloom; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.  

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, on Friday, April 15, 2022, from 12:00 PM until service time of 1:00 PM with Pastor Dennis Conway officiating.

Interment will follow at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery in Farmington.
