Iowa E. Pruyn

Iowa Elizabeth Pruyn, age 97, of Farmington passed away Friday, November 2, 2018 at her residence. She was born to the late George Richard and Laura (Freeman) Phillips in Biggers, Arkansas. Iowa was a baptized Jehovah witness for 58 years and loved gardening, quilting, and flowers.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Nelson; second husband, James Pruyn; son, Glen Nelson; grandson, Jerry Gazaway; sister, Artie Allen; and two brothers, John and Charlie Phillips.

            Iowa is survived by her daughters, Melva Gazaway, Bonnie Boschert, and Kathryn Stewart; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

            Visitation will be held Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at C.Z. Boyer & Son Taylor Chapel in Farmington. Visitation will resume at 8:00 am on Monday, November 5, 2018 until service time of 10:00 am at C.Z. Boyer & Son Taylor Chapel with Aaron Truchon officiating. Interment will follow at Nelson Family Cemetery in Reyno, Arkansas. Memorial donations may be made to Jehovah Witness at https://apps.jw.org/E_DONATE.
