Ira Lee Nelson

Ira Lee Nelson was born July 7, 1954 in Pilot Knob, Missouri to the late Ira "Bud" and Delma Stricklin Nelson, the baby of six children. Ira changed his address to Heaven on Wednesday evening, June 22, 2022 in Farmington, Missouri following a year long battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his son, Tony Lee Nelson, granddaughter Charity Nelson, sister Elaine Holbert, brothers-in-law Roger Holbert and Lawrence Shy, sister-in-law Edith Nelson, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by four siblings: Junior Nelson, Bernice Tyndall, Jimmie Nelson and Brenda Shy; and seven nieces and nephews, Jason Holbert, Johnnie Nelson, Theresa Miller, Richard Tyndall, Carol Sisk, James Tyndall and Robbie Nelson. In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date, at which time his cremains will be interred at Ottery Community Cemetery in Iron County. Memorials may be made to the Ottery Cemetery Association.
