Mrs. Irah Elsie Wampler passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at Parkland Health Center, South, Farmington, at the age of 86 years, 9 months & 13 days. Irah was born Sept. 28, 1920, in Doe Run, MO., & was the daughter of Ira & Nancy 'Barnhouse' Howe. Also preceding-in-death were: her husband, Arville Dewey "Red" Wampler, (Feb. 24, 1994); 1 Son, Thomas Wampler (1964); 1 Brother: William Howe & 2 Sisters: Wilma Murray & Helen Howe.
Irah was a member of the Doe Run First Baptist Church and a former employee of Farmington Presbyterian Manor.
Survivors Include: 1 Daughter - Nancy 'Mrs. Marvin' Lee, of Farmington; 3 Sons: Noland (& Shirley) Wampler, of Imperial, MO; Jackie D. Wampler, of Doe Run; Duane (& Karon) Wampler, of Doe Run. 2 Sisters: Juanita Becker, of Rio Vista, CA; Jean 'Mrs. Billy' Pritchett, of Farmington. 10 Grandchildren: Robert Wampler; Sherry Jeffcoat; Thomas Wampler; Lisa Wampler; Lauren Lee & Evan Lee; Tonya Eaton; Alecia Steur; Jacob Wampler & Jacqueline Wampler. Also surviving are 12 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation : Friday, 5-9 p.m. Visitation resumes Saturday at 7:00 a.m.
Funeral : Saturday, 1:00 p.m., July 14th
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Jay Lacey officiating.
Interment at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery - Doe Run, MO.
