Irene Loretta Thurman

Irene Thurman, 90, of Bonne Terre, passed away October 28, 2015, at St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre. She was born August 27, 1925, in St. Louis, to the late John and Elizabeth (Conway) Woodruff. Irene was a member of the Centenary Methodist Church in Bonne Terre and a longtime supporter of New Beginnings Greif and Loss Support Group. She was the number 1 Cardinal Fan! She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jewell Thurman; five brothers and four sisters. Irene is survived by her chosen daughter, Kathy Grogan; chosen grandson, Jonathan Grogan; several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, Friday, October 30, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Bonne Terre, Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Frank Husted officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre.
