Irma Ruth Mccord

         Irma Ruth McCord, 90, of Farmington, MO died Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Camelot Nursing home in Farmington. She was born September 17, 1931 in Flat River, MO.

          Irma taught school at Athena Elementary at DeSoto School District for 26 years. She retired in 1993 as Assistant Principal. She enjoyed travel, fishing, reading and cooking for friends and family; Dear Friend of 50 years, Glenda Hendrix, cousins, caregiver, Vicki Nence and furry friend Ruffy, who she loved to walk through the Village using her wheelchair.

          She accepted Christ as her Savior as a young woman and served as Youth leader for many years at the Assembly of God Church in Flat River, MO.

          Preceding her death is her Father, Fred McCord, Mother, Dora McCord and one brother, Harvey Lynn McCord.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home-Caldwell Chapel in Park Hills, Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the  time of service at 11:00 AM with Rev. Eddie Bone officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her scholarship fund at Mineral Area College.
