Jack D. Cannon, 90 of Bonne Terre passed away October 26, 2012 at St. Joe Manor. He was born August 10, 1922 in Benton, MO. He was a World War II Veteran serving with the United States Army. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Bonne Terre. Jack worked for Samuel Archer at the barber shop located on School Street in Bonne Terre, and when Mr. Archer retired, Jack bought the shop and ran the business until he retired in 1988, after 36 years in the same location. Jack was President of the Chamber of Commerce and President of the Bonne Terre Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marcella (Westrich) Cannon; first wife, Virginia (VanAmburgh) Cannon; second wife, Margaret (Black) Bockenkamp Cannon; two brothers, Walt Cannon and Robert Cannon. Jack is survived by son, Russ Cannon of Sun Valley, TX; daughter, Mary (Mrs. Tom) AuBuchon of Bonne Terre; four grandchildren, Julie (Mrs. Mike) Osborn, Craig AuBuchon, Derek Cannon, Kyle Cannon and wife Katie; three great-grandchildren, Virginia, Peyton and Paige. Visitation will be Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Monday at 10:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Chaplain Rob Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park.
