Jack Eugene Gibbons, 78 of Bonne Terre passed away May 25, 2011. He was born October 4, 1932 in Bismarck. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Jack was Chief of Police for the city of Ellisville for 17 years. He enjoyed wood carving, hunting and fishing with his wife. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ada Belle (Lee) Gibbons; daughter, Patty Branham; two brothers, Andrew Gibbons and Bill Gibbons; sister, Elsie Pratte. Jack is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marie (Browers) Gibbons; four children, Jackie (Mrs. Randy) Cook of Cedar Hill, MO, Janet Gibbons of Farmington, Carla Cotner of Des Moines, IA and Tom Hood and wife Roxanne of Sullivan, MO; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Gibbons and wife Nora of Desloge, Mark Gibbons and wife Sherrie of Bonne Terre; two sisters, Allene Nations of Santa Ana, CA and Shelia (Mrs. Tom) Campbell of Park Hills. Visitation will be Friday, May 27, 2011 from 5 PM until 8 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Saturday at 11 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Tom Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Bismarck Masonic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
