Jack Yount

           Jack Yount, 80, of Desloge, passed away April 27, 2017 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. He was born October 5, 1936, in Steelville, to the late Richard S. and Arzetta A. (Atcheson) Yount. Jack was a member of the Mineral Area Baptist Church, and he loved to camp, fish, feed birds, and his beloved dog Maggie. 

            He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lester Yount; and two step-sisters, Ruby and Wilma. 

            Jack is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Frances (Rosener) Yount; son Richard “Rick” Yount of Arnold; sister, Maxine Gilliam; and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim Rosener and his wife Barb; several nieces and nephews also survive. 

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, May 1, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM, with Brother Max Hardy officiating. Interment will follow at Marvin Chapel Cemetery in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be directed to the Mineral Area Baptist Church or American Heart Association.
