Jackie "Jack" Lee Herzog

Jackie “Jack” L. Herzog, 70, of Ste. Genevieve passed away October 14, 2022 at his residence surrounded by family. He was born March 24, 1952 in Bonne Terre to the late Harold and Annabell (Gibson) Herzog. Jack was a member of Three Rivers Baptist Church, Mineral Area Heritage Tractor Club and the Farmington Elks Lodge #1765. He worked 40 years for United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers. Jack loved hunting and taking care of his cows on the farm, but especially loved spending time with his family.

 Jack was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, LaVonna (Chapis) Herzog; children, Kimberley “Kim” Schrum and husband Eric, David Herzog and wife Pam, Amanda Gross and husband John; grandchildren, Hueston Schrum, Wyatt Herzog, Logan Herzog, and Braxton Gross; and many friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 17 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington with Elk Service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, October 18 at 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am with Bro. David Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or Parkinson’s Foundation. Family would like to thank Preferred Hospice for their care and compassion.
