Jacqueline Maureen Komar of Ironton, Missouri passed away July 19, 2022 in Pilot Knob, Missouri at the age of 90 years. She was born February 19, 1932, in Leadwood, Missouri the daughter of the late Oscar Samuel and Nina Elsetta (Matthews) Thurman. On June 21, 1952, she was united in marriage to John Komar who preceded her in death on April 4, 2017. To this union three children were born: Carole Gore (Larry) of Pilot Knob, Missouri, Gary Komar of Pilot Knob, Missouri, and James Komar (Dawn) of Farmington, Missouri. Jackie is also survived by five grandchildren: John Sellers (Sara), Wendy Tyndall, Kelly Montgomery (Sean), Nathan Komar (Julie) and Clayton Komar, four great grandchildren: Sidney, Jesse, Blake, and Logan and a host of nieces and nephews. Her sisters-in-law Nancy Komar and Katherine White, and her brother-in-law; Andrew Komar (Jeannie) are also left to mourn her passing. Jackie was preceded in death by two brothers: Jewell Thurman and Ronald Thurman, and her brother-in-law, Mike Komar. Jackie was a member of Ste. Marie du Lac Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home Mom. Jackie was a fantastic homemaker and loved taking care of her children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Arcadia Valley Backpack Impact or the Arcadia Valley Food Pantry. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Sean Montgomery officiating.
