Jacqueline Root

Jacqueline Faye “Jackie” Root, 90, of Farmington passed away October 14, 2020 at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born February 7, 1930 in Loma Linda, CA to the late David and Gladys (Dobbs) Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Briscoe A. Root; granddaughter Jennifer Dixon; sister, Anna Asendort; brother, Edwin Smith.

Jackie is survived by four children, Kathryn Ann Cushing, Barbara Jean Ziegenfuss and husband Michael, Richard Clayton Munyer and wife Cindy, Christina Lynn Munyer; thirteen grandchildren, Karen (Danny) Mertz, Nathan (Christine) Bishop, Mary (Dara) Archin, John (Heather) Bishop, Anna Murray, Tom (Kelsey) Bishop, Elspeth Cushing, Sara (Jay) Wiley, Heidi (Lennie) Lerg, Brian Munyer, Kelly Munyer, David (Amy) Drabek, Jacqueline (Andrew) Moore; thirty great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Rankin; brother, David (Sue) Smith. Several nieces, nephews and many friends also survive.

A private graveside service will be will held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son – Taylor Chapel in Farmington.
