James Kevin Bay, affectionately known as Kevin, a beloved father, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on Sunday, April 12, 1959, in Bonne Terre, Missouri.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Dariel Bay and Shirley (Mund) Fowler, as well as many beloved grandparents, uncles, and aunts. Especially, his Aunt Sis and Great Aunt Hazel who were his favorite babysitters whom he loved deeply. 

Kevin is survived by his son, David McNeal, and three grandchildren: Aurora, Levi, and Maggie McNeal. He leaves behind brothers Eddie Bay (Debbie) and Jeff Bay (Tina), and sister Shelly Bauer (John). He also leaves behind his Uncle Dale Bay (Joyce) and Aunt Donna, who were always there for him. His many cousins will miss his signature laughter and the love he brought to their lives. Kevin loved all his many nieces and nephews as if they were his own and will be deeply missed by them all.

 Kevin always loved his animals and was rarely found without a dog by his side. He leaves behind Would Ya, the joy of his life who was there until the end. He also leaves behind his beloved dune buggy that he built himself so he could ride the backroads, stop to fish, and visit friends. His friends and neighbors whom he leaves behind will miss his selfless nature and handy solutions to any problem they had. 

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life for Kevin at his home, located at 8501 Berry Rd., Bonne Terre, Missouri, on June 13, 2026, from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. We hope you can join us to celebrate Kevin’s life and share memories with family and friends.
