James Marlon Duffel, age 80 passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at his home near Fredericktown, Missouri. He was born on March 19, 1936 in Seneath, Missouri a son of Cleveland and Lucey (Wallace) Duffel. On May 5, 1956 in Kennett, Missouri he was united in marriage to Annie Lou McCaig, she survives in Fredericktown. Other survivors include: one son - Terry Duffel Sr. of Fredericktown; two daughters - Sandra (Tracy) Dodson of Hillsboro, Missouri and Pam (Dave) Campbell of Wappapello, Missouri; five grandchildren - Tisha Whitney, T.J. Duffel Jr., Lee Wiley, Matt Wiley and Kenny Simpson and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter - Melissa Duffel; one son - Scott Duffel; two brothers and six sisters. James had been a welder for the St. Louis ship yard; he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was of the Baptist faith.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m, Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home with a graveside service at 3:30 p.m., on Monday at the Opposition Cemetery in Ravenden, Arkansas with Bro. Cory McCaig officiating.
