James E. Tripp

Jim Tripp, 81, of Farmington passed away on March 19, 2021 at his residence. He was born March 29, 1939 in Fredericktown to the late Cleo Bert and Dellie Elizabeth (Silvey) Tripp.  He was also preceded in death by 7 siblings, Ann Frodyma, Glenwood Tripp, Glenda Naert, Edward Tripp, Kenneth Tripp, Bill Tripp, and Diane Burns.

Jim was a retiree from General Motors, a member of the Farmington Elks Lodge, and was an avid horseman.

Jim is survived by his wife Lois (Sutton) Tripp; daughter, Tammy (Mike) Hayes; 2 sons,  Mark Tripp, Jeff (Missie) Tripp; step-children, Christine (Mark) McKern, Steven (Cindy) Sadler; grandchildren, Christopher (Jennifer) Hayes, Kristen (Matt) Dotson, Madelynn Tripp, Owen Tripp, Cooper Tripp and McCoy Tripp; 5 step-grandchildren, Megan McKern, Grant McKern, McCoy Lucy, Jesse Burlingame, Dylan Burlingame; 7 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Wally Frodyma, sister-in-law, Pat Orr; brother-in-law, Wayne Sutton; sister-in-law, Sandra (Rick) Dalton; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Friends and family will meet at C.Z. Boyer & Son – Taylor Chapel in Farmington on Monday March 22, 2021 at 9:45 a.m. There will be a procession to Knight of Pythias Cemetery for graveside services at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Beth Allen officiating.  In lieu of flowers, you can make memorials to the Permanently Disabled Jockey Fund www.PDJF.org , BJC Hospice, or American Heart Association.
