James Hartman

James Hartman, 60, of Park Hills, passed away January 8, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. He was born November 4, 1963, in Springfield, IL, to Patricia Bader. James volunteered at the VFW in Farmington and was a member of the Norman L. Rigdon Post #5896 Auxiliary. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and going to dirt track races.

He is preceded in death by one sister, Jannifer Drew.

James is survived by his wife, Paula Grace (Loyd) Hartman; children, Zachary (Samantha Hicks) Hartman, Nicole Edwards, Jimmy (Nikki) Roden, Brandi Estill and Taylor (Mary) Roden-Riley; stepdaughter, Ashley Baker; nine grandchildren; mother, Patricia (Turley) Bader and husband Franz, who raised James; nieces, Linzi Drew, Tiffany Drew-Leach and husband Doug; special friends, Timothy Bequette and wife Susie, and Karl Smith.

Memorial visitation to celebrate James’s life will be held at Norman L. Rigdon VFW Post 5896 in Farmington on February 25, 2024 from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM with an auxiliary service starting at 2:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
