James Oscar Helms

James Oscar Helms of Ironton, Missouri passed away October 18, 2017 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 74 years. He was born August 7, 1943 in Black, Missouri the son of the late Pallie Ray and Stella May Violet (Schrum) Helms. On April 6, 1968 he was united in marriage to Linda Ilene Barton who survives and resides in Ironton, Missouri. To this union five children were born; James Helms Jr. who preceded him in death, Charles Timothy Helms of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Randy Dale Helms of Pilot Knob, Missouri, Patricia Lynn Helms of Pilot Knob, Missouri, and Theresa Elaine Helms Kelley of Ironton, Missouri. In addition to his children, Jim is survived by two sisters; Lillian Joan Barton and Sally Mae Spencer and a brother; Pallie Ray Helms, Jr.; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren with one more on the way and a host of other relatives and friends.
