James (Jim) A. Hulsey, 83, of Port Richey, FL, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015. He was born December 21, 1931 in Leadwood, to Orbria and Alma (Forrester) Hulsey. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Shirley, Barbara, and Carolyn.
Jim is survived by his wife of 65 years, June (Licklider) Hulsey; sisters, Loretta Dodson (Desloge) and Patti (Fred) Means (Park Hills); sons, Reggie (Fujie) Hulsey (Appleton, WI) and Chris Hulsey (Desloge); daughters, Diane (Bill) Wright (New Port Richey, FL) and Denise (Scott) Hunker (St. Louis); 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Jim was employed as a finish carpenter for 50 years until his retirement to Florida in 1994. He was an active member of the Elks Lodge and volunteered at the Hernando-Pasco Hospice center until his health deteriorated.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 13, 2015, from 2:00-4:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge. The service will be Monday, December 14, 2015, at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Kendall Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Hernando-Pasco Hospice.
